Junior guard Devoe Joseph has been suspended indefinitely by Minnesota head coach Tubby Smith for an unspecified violation of team rules.
“He had some off-the-court issues and some other things we had to deal with,” Smith told Myron P. Medcalf of the Minnesota [sic] Star Tribune last week. "And he’s working his way through it. Hopefully he’ll do all the things required of him to get back in good grace. He’ll be practising [sic], but he won’t be traveling.
Well, I guess as long as he’s “practising,” it’s not all bad. Yeesh.
Joseph has missed the Gophers’ first two games (both victories), and will not make the trip to Puerto Rico for the Puerto Rico Tipoff.
