The first play for the Gophers of the second quarter was a Dan Orseske punt that put the Cornhuskers back at their own 18-yard line. It took Nebraska all of one play to score, as quarterback Taylor Martinez pitched the ball back to Rex Burkhead, who started running right. Burkhead then pitched the ball to Kenny Bell coming back to the left, and bell did the rest. He tightroped the sidelines against a couple of Gophers' tacklers, and took it the distance for an 82-yard touchdown run to give the Cornhuskers a 17-0 lead over the Gophers.
This is turning into another ugly beatdown for the Gophers at this point. Keep it tuned right here for all of the most recent updates on this one, ladies and gentlemen.
