Over at Viking Update, Tim Yotter has given us a pretty comprehensive timeline for the next few weeks. Some highlights:

26 Jul: Teams can negotiate with and sign their own rookies and free agents. They may negotiate with, but not sign, free agents and rookies. But they can’t sign them. WAAAAAT?

27-29 Jul: Training Camp opens for 30 teams. On 27 July, teams may sign players they have extended offers to.

31 July: Vikings players arrive for camp

1 Aug: Vikings first practice

11 Aug: last Vikings training camp practive for Vikings that is open to fans

11-15 Aug: First weekend of pre-season games
