Twins starter Scott Baker, who has already spent time on the DL this season due to a flexor muscle issue, may be heading back again, as he says he’s feeling discomfort in the same are.
According to Joe Christenson of the Star Tribune, after the loss to the Red Sox, where Baker gave up 5 runs in 6 innings, Baker said:
I have no problem pitching with some discomfort as long as it’s something that’s not going to get worse," Baker said. "I’m OK being a little sore, but if you’re not effective because of it, then that’s a different story. So we’ve got some things to talk through.
That doesn’t sound promising, and the Twins season just continues to unravel.
