Entering the night with a 1-6 record on the road, the Detroit Pistons have played comfortably on Minnesota's court so far tonight, as the Timberwolves trail 42-36 at halftime at the Target Center.
Minnesota's two-point guard attack of Ricky Rubio (0-5) and Luke Ridnour (1-8) has missed the mark, and the Timberwolves are shooting just 13-45 (.289) from the field and 3-15 (.200) on three-pointers. Rubio has not scored but has 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals.
Kevin Love leads Minnesota with 11 points and 9 rebounds, but even he is shooting just 4-13 from the field. Reserve forward and second overall draft pick Derrick Williams has contributed 4 points and 3 rebounds in 8 minutes off the bench.
Meanwhile, Tayshaun Prince leads the Pistons with 13 points while rising young center Greg Monroe has added 7 points and 6 rebounds.
The only good news is that the Timberwolves came back a bit after trailing by as many as 16 in the first half, when they were down 40-24.
