NBA schedule 2012: Timberwolves host Warriors Friday night

The NBA schedule is packed with games this weekend. The Minnesota Timberwolves tip off the action Friday night against the Golden State Warriors.

This weekend's NBA schedule features three nights full of games. The Minnesota Timberwolves tip off the action Friday with a home game against the Golden State Warriors. The game is set for a 7 p.m. CT start at Minnesota's Target Center.

Minnesota (5-3) and Golden State (4-4) enter Friday night's game as second-place teams in their respective divisions. The Timberwolves are a half-game behind the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Northwest Division, and the Thunder sit two games back of the Los Angeles Clippers in the Pacific.

Two nationally-televised games highlight ESPN's coverage Friday night. The Jazz and 76ers tip off from Philadelphia's Wells Fargo Center at 6 p.m. CT. That is followed by a 8:30 p.m. CT game between the Grizzlies and Knicks at the FedEx Forum in Memphis.

On Saturday, the Chicago Bulls travel to Los Angeles' Staples Center for a marquee matchup at 8 p.m. CT with the Clippers. Mike D'Antoni will likely make his debut as head coach for the Lakers on Sunday when LA hosts the Houston Rockets at 8:30 p.m. CT.
