The Minnesota Golden Gophers, at 6-6, are projected to play in the Meineke Car Care Bowl where they will meet Texas Tech.

SB Nation's Jason Kirk's bowl projections has the Minnesota Golden Gophers playing in the Meineke Car Care Bowl against Texas Tech on Dec. 28.

The Meineke Car Care Bowl typically slates the sixth Big 12 team against the sixth Big Ten team and takes in reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas. Minnesota finished the 2012 regular season barely bowl eligible at 6-6 after starting the year 4-0. They got their bowl clinching victory Nov. 10 against the 2-10 Illinois Fighting Illini.

In the BCS bowls, Kirk projects the Nebraska Cornhuskers to represent the Big Ten in the Rose Bowl where they will face Stanford. Nebraska is currently ranked No. 12 in the BCS standings, and they will play Wisconsin Dec. 1 in the Big Ten Championship Game.

Notre Dame and Alabama are expected to play in the BCS National Championship game, while Oregon and Kansas State are slated to meet in the Fiesta Bowl.
