Georgia Southern will square off with No. 1 overall seed North Dakota State on Friday in the FCS semifinals.
In search of their second consecutive FCS championship, the North Dakota State Bison will host a dangerous Georgia Southern team at the Fargodome on Friday evening in a semifinal showdown.
The Bison have dropped just one game this season in 13 chances and will enter Friday's meeting riding a seven-game winning streak. Along with trying to repeat as FCS champions after edging Sam Houston State in last year's title game, North Dakota State will hope to once again shut down the Eagles in the semifinals after claiming a 35-7 win last season.
Powered by 28 fourth-quarter points last Saturday, Georgia Southern stunned Old Dominion to keep its 2012 postseason hopes alive in a wildly entertaining quarterfinal game. The Eagles picked up an improbable 602 rushing yards on 71 attempts in the victory, and rallied for the late win despite completing just two passes all game.
When: Friday, Dec. 14
Where: Fargodome, Fargo, ND
Game time: 7 p.m. CT
