When to tune-in and what to expect on Selection Sunday
One of the most captivating events in all of sports, Selection Sunday has finally arrived to separate the men from the boys in college basketball.
As expected, the 2012 unveiling will play out much like in past years, as fractions of each region, sandwiched between commercial breaks and cutaways, are revealed to the unknowing public. And while the Minnesota Golden Gophers aren't expected to be among the at-large candidates after a frustrating season, the evening should still offer plenty of excitement as the blueprint for March Madness is laid out right before our very eyes.
Hosting the Selection Show for another year is the affable trio of Greg Gumbel, Seth Davis, and Greg Anthony. They will be joined via satellite from the Big Ten Tournament in Indianapolis by Jim Nantz, Clark Kellogg, and Steve Kerr, along with Chairman of the NCAA Basketball Committee Jeff Hathaway. Reaction shots and a bevy of coach and player interviews will be peppered throughout the broadcast.
Here are the details:
Time: 5:00 - 6:00 pm CST
TV Channel: CBS, Online/Mobile*
* The Selection Show will also be available through online and mobile outlets, and can be accessed from NCAA.com, CBSSports.com, and SI.com.
