Minnesota Twins reliever Glen Perkins will be listed as day-to-day following an MRI on his left arm.
Minnesota Twins relief pitcher Glen Perkins will not travel with the team for at least two days and will be listed as day-to-day following an MRI on his left arm, according to John Shipley of The St. Paul Pioneer Press.
"Yesterday he described some tenderness to his forearm, and that's exactly what the MRI showed - irritation to his left forearm," Ryan said before the Twins played the Yankees on Monday, April 16. "We're going to go day-to-day with him. We're going to leave him back in Minnesota at least two days and see how he is Wednesday."
Perkins took the loss for Minnesota, 4-3, Sunday to the Texas Rangers at Target Field, giving up a late, two-run home run to Josh Hamilton. The left-handed reliever has pitched 4.1 innings this season, allowing six hits and four runs.
