The Minnesota Stars come enter their bout with the Fort Lauderdale Strikers as losers of two straight. They will look to turn things around Saturday night at the NSC Stadium in Blaine.

The Stars fell 2-1 to the Tampa Bay Rowdies in their return home from a seven-game road trip last week. Despite the loss, Minnesota (4-5-2) still sits third in the NASL standings, five points behind the league-leading San Antonio Scorpions.

The Strikers are coming off of an impressive 1-0 victory over FC Edmonton last weekend. The club has now won two of their last three games. Defender Jack Stewart was named the league's Defensive Player of the Week for his role in helping his team earn a clean sheet.

The teams came to a 0-0 draw the last time they met up in Lockhart Stadium on April 14th.

Minnesota will need to find an answer on the offensive end with forward Amani Walker questionable with an achilles tendon injury. Martin Nunez netted a goal early in last week's loss but fell silent for the rest of the game. Minnesota has scored just two combined goals in their last four contests. Miguel Ibarra created some chances from the edge last week, and will have to continue to do so if the Stars hope to find the back of the net on a more consistent basis.
