London Olympics 2012: U.S. Women's Basketball Team Blows Out Turkey, Remains Undefeated

The U.S. women's basketball team notched another blowout win on Wednesday in London, dominating Turkey 89-58 in Olympic action. Angel McCoughtry led the way with 18 points and Tina Charles added 16.

As for the Minnesota Lynx players on the roster, Lindsay Whalen was their third leading scorer with 14 points and, along with McCoughtry and Charles, tied for the lead in rebounding with seven boards. Seimone Augustus finished with 10 points and Maya Moore had five points and five rebounds.

The U.S. bench, led by McCoughtry and Whelan, built a lead in the second quarter and put the game away in the third.

The United States will next play Friday against the Czech Republic. The team will have an off-day on Thursday and finish up pool play on Friday against a Chinese club that is also 3-0.
