The Minnesota Twins will begin a three-game set against the Tampa Bay Rays on Friday night.
On Friday night, the Minnesota Twins will host the first game of a three-game set against the Tampa Bay Rays, which will also kick-off a six-game home stand.
Despite the fact that the 2012 season has largely been disappointing for the Twins and that the club sits only a game out of last place in the American League's Central Division, the team has faired rather well as of late, winning six of nine in August. Coming off back-to-back series wins against the Cleveland Indians and Boston Red Sox, the Twins could make it three-straight if they can find a way to win at least two games against the Rays.
Tampa Bay will be entering the series on the back of a three-game sweep of the Toronto Blue Jays and sit a half game out of a wild card spot.
