Medal Count 2012: Team USA Leads With 102 Total Medals After 15 Days

The United States pushed its overall medal count to 102 on Saturday with three more first place finishes, with only 15 events remain to be completed at the 2012 Summer Olympics from London.

Looking to add yet another gold medal on the 16th and final day of competition will be Minnesota's Kevin Love and the men's basketball team against a very tough opponent in Spain. Love and company will hope to follow in the footsteps of the women's team, who brought home their own gold with a strong showing in Saturday's gold medal game.

In addition to the three golds, Team USA also chipped in three silver and two bronze medals on day 15, and now leads China by exactly 15 medals with only 15 competitions left to be decided.

Here are the leaders in the overall medal count:

1. United States, 102 (44 gold, 29 silver, 29 bronze)

2. China, 87 (38 gold, 27 silver, 22 bronze)

3. Russia, 78 (21 gold, 25 silver, 32 bronze)

4. Great Britain, 62 (28 gold, 15 silver, 19 bronze)

5. Germany, 44 (11 gold, 19 silver, 14 bronze)
