Lynx Vs. Storm: Minnesota Shines In Nationally Televised Game

The WNBA was given a solid opportunity in front of a national audience on Tuesday night, as the game between the Minnesota Lynx and Seattle Storm was played live on ESPN2. The Lynx were the team that took advantage of the opportunity, though, as it picked up an 86-73 victory on the road.

Seimone Augustus scored 22 points, Maya Moore and Rebekkah Brunson dropped in 20 apiece to get things going on the scoreboard, and Minnesota native Lindsay Whalen steered the ship from the point guard position en route to nine assists to lead the Lynx.

Seattle was helped by 20 points from Camille Little and Sue Bird scored 17 of her own, but the rest of the team was unable to equal their output. The Storm were a bit shorthanded as Lauren Jackson sat out the game after flying in from Australia on Monday following the Olympics while Ann Wauters and Tina Thompson watched from the bench due to injury.

Minnesota already clinched the a playoff berth, but Tuesday night's win moves them a bit closer to homecourt advantage in the postseason.
