Team USA Vs. Canada Final Score: United States Women Advance To Hoops Semifinal With Win Over Canada, 91-48

On Tuesday, the United States Women's Basketball team defeated Team Canada in the quarterfinal round of the 2012 Olympics by a final score of 91-48.

Form the start, Team USA dominated their neighbors to the north by jumping out to a 19-8 lead after the first quarter and 42-21 lead at halftime. With the exception of the first quarter, the United States scored at least 20 points in each quarter.

Minnesota Lynx players Maya Moore, Seimone Augustus and Lindsay Whalen all contributed to the Team USA win, with Moore contributing 11 points in close to 25 minutes played, Augustus putting up nine points in 20:48 played and Whalen registering five points in 17:18 played.

With the win, Team USA will advance to the semifinals on Thursday to take on Australia.
