The United States is once again sitting atop the medal count rankings on Wednesday, thanks to seven Track and Field medals, including gold medal performances from Brittney Reese, Allyson Felix and Aries Merritt.

Reese became the second American to win a gold medal in women's long jump, Felix won the women's 200 meters and Merritt won the men's 110m hurdles. American Jason Richardson stood next to Merritt at the podium with a silver medal in that same event. Lashinda Demus won a silver medal in the women's 400m hurdles

Carmelita Jeter took home a bronze in the 200 meters and Janay DeLoach won bronze in the long jump.
