This weekend's NBA schedule is loaded with games, and the Minnesota Tiberwolves have a Saturday contest against another team battling for position in the Western Conference.

The Timberwolves (15-14) host the Portland Trail Blazers (16-15) Saturday night at 7 p.m. CT at the Target Center. The teams enter the game tied for eighth place in the West, and if Minnesota and Portland remain close in the standings, a victory Saturday could prove to be quite valuable by the end of the season.

Friday night features a nationally-televised doubleheader on ESPN. The Bulls and Heat meet at Miami's AmericanAirlines Arena at 7 p.m. CT, and the Clippers and Lakers square off in an intra-city showdown at the Staples Center at 9:30 p.m. CT.

Five games are on the docket Sunday, with the highlight being the Lakers back in action against the Nuggets at the Staples Center. L.A. and Denver tipoff at 8:30 p.m. CT.
