Gophers Trail Badgers 14-3 Midway Through Second Quarter

Stay connected for news and updates

We apologize for the delay in getting our coverage underway this afternoon, folks.

We join the game at Camp Randall Stadium in progress, with the Golden Gophers trailing the nineteenth-ranked Badgers by a score of 14-0.

The Badgers took that lead with two first quarter touchdowns, one coming on a three yard touchdown pass from quarterback Scott Tolzien to Jared Abbrederis, and another one coming on a one-yard run by tailback John Clay.

The Gophers just moved downfield on a long drive, but stalled in the red zone and had to settle for a 23-yard Eric Ellestad to make the score 14-3 with just under six minutes remaining until halftime.
