Minnesota Golden Gophers 0, Michigan State Spartans 0 - Opportunity Squandered

Stay connected for news and updates

Typical of the Gophers’ season, their opening drive started out with some promise, but would up giving the Gophers nothing to show for it.

After Troy Stoudermire returned the opening kickoff to near midfield, the Gophers drove all the way down to the Spartans’ 16-yard line. However, after that, the drive stalled out, and Eric Ellestad. . .who, at some point, probably needs to be benched. . .missed a 32-yard field goal attempt.

With 11:15 left in the first quarter, our game is still scoreless.
