The Minnesota Golden Gophers were able to hang on yesterday against the DePaul Blue Demons, but they still have a pair of tough games left in the Old Spice Classic in Orlando, FL this weekend. Minnesota will be on ESPN this afternoon at 12:30 p.m. as they face the Indiana State Sycamores, who are the only team in the field that played in last year's NCAA Tournament. The Daily Gopher is concerned about Minnesota's defense:

But if our defense doesn't get better it won't matter how well we move the ball or rebound.  We have got to play better defensively because sometimes it is just too easy for the opposing offense.  I do fear that if we don't play better tomorrow we will not come out on top over Indiana State.

The Sycamores earned a 60-49 win over Texas Tech to reach the semifinals. The Golden Gophers will play either Dayton or Fairfield, who meet in the other semifinal on Friday.
