Minnesota At Michigan State Score Update: Bell Ties Game At 14

Stay connected for news and updates

The Minnesota Golden Gophers had a 14-7 lead over the Michigan State Spartans when the first quarter of play came to an end in East Lansing. Unfortunately, it only took Sparty one play to tie the game up once the second quarter got underway.

The Spartans had gotten down to the Gophers' 1-yard line as the clock ran out on the opening quarter of play, and have punched it into the end zone on a 1-yard run by running back Le'Veon Bell. The subsequent extra point has tied the game at 14 with 14:57 left in the first quarter of play.

Thus far, Gophers' quarterback MarQueis Gray has completed 4-of-6 passes for 97 yards and two touchdowns. Both of the scoring passes have gone to Da'Jon McKnight, a 64-yarder on the Gophers' first drive, and a 13-yarder after a Michigan State turnover.

One play into the second quarter in East Lansing, the Minnesota Golden Gophers and Michigan State Spartans are tied at 14.
