Interception Thwarts Promising Gopher Drive; Game Still Tied At 7

The Gophers appeared to be on their way to their second consecutive touchdown against the New Mexico State Aggies, but a bad sequence by quarterback Marqueis Gray saw the Gophers go away with no points.

Facing a second and goal at the New Mexico State 4-yard line, Gray dropped back to pass, and appeared to trip over his own feet, resulting in an 8-yard loss for the Gophers. On the next play, Gray was attempting to throw a pass into the end zone that ended up getting tipped and intercepted by New Mexico State linebacker "You're My" Boyblue Aoelua.

The Gophers got to the Aggies' 4-yard line thanks to an absolutely ridiculous catch by receiver Da'Jon McKnight, who reached out for a Gray pass with one hand and tipped it to himself over two Aggie defenders. Hopefully we can track down some video of that pass for you here shortly.

However, the result of all of it is that the Gophers and Aggies are still tied at seven, and New Mexico State has the ball with 12 minutes left in the first half.
