The Minnesota Golden Gophers were finally able to end that ugly slide of four straight losses in Big 10 competition back on January 12th when they defeated ranked Indiana and turned that into a winning streak. Now the Gophers can turn that into a four game winning streak and bring themselves back to .500 against the Michigan State Spartans Wednesday at the Jack Breslin Student Events Center at 8:30 PM Eastern.

Michigan State come into the contest ranked 11th in the country in the latest polls and only a game behind the rival Michigan Wolverines in the Big 10 at 5-2. They did go on a bit of a slide recently losing to both Northwestern and Michigan to soot a then undefeated record but made up for it on Saturday by dismantling the Purdue Boilermakers. Their powerful offense is the 38th best in the nation at scoring points, led by Draymond Green's 15 points and 10 rebounds per game.

Freshman Joe Coleman has been helping to lead the Gophers through their recent win streak, but they'll need a full team effort if they want to take down another ranked opponent and continue the streak going into the weekend when they face an easier test against the Illinois Fighting Illini.
