Coach Kill tries changing things to improve Gophers.
Minnesota Golden Gophers head coach Jerry Kill will wrap up spring practice for his football team with the annual Spring Game at TCF Bank Stadium on Saturday at noon.
In his second spring with the Gophers, Kill is trying to adjust the talent on his roster to put them in better positions to succeed. That includes moving quarterback Moses Alipate to tight end. That leaves the signal calling duties to MarQueis Gray and Max Shortel.
On defense, Kill made a couple of changes moving James Manuel from safety to linebacker and running back Lamonte Edwards to linebacker. All of those changes along with the rest of the Gophers will be on display today.
