The Minnesota Lynx rolled over the lowly Washington Mystics on Friday night.
The Minnesota Lynx's three best players spent the Olympics in London winning a gold medal for Team USA, but they showed no ill effects in their first game back on American soil. The Lynx hosted the Washington Mystics and wiped them out, winning by a score of 98-69.
Washington improved to 16-and-4 on the season and were led in scoring by Seimone Augustus, who put up 20 points on 9-of-11 shooting. Augustus also contributed four assists and three rebounds. Fellow Olympian Maya Moore was right behind her with 17 points on 7-of-10 shooting from the field. Monica Wright also pitched in 17 points to go along with five rebounds.
On defense, the Lynx held the Mystics to 37% shooting from the field and 3-13 shooting from three-point range.
The Lynx will continue their homestand on Sunday when they host the Tulsa Shock.
