Minnesota is tied for the best record in the Big Ten Conference four weeks into the season.

Four weeks into the 2012 season, the Minnesota Golden Golphers are one of just three teams remaining in the Big Ten conference with an unbeaten record. Along with the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Northwestern Wildcats, the Golden Gophers have avoided defeat thus far in 2012.

The conference schedule doesn't begin until Saturday, but Minnesota has already put itself in a strong position to appear in a bowl game this season. With other teams in the Legends division like Michigan and Iowa struggling, Minnesota has emerged as a surprising co-leader in the standings.

Behind Minnesota and Northwestern in the Legends division are the Michigan State Spartans and the Nebraska Cornhuskers, both of which are 3-1 this season. Those are the final two teams that the Golden Gophers will face in the regular season.
