2012 College Hockey schedule: Gophers travel to Alaska

Minnesota, Minnesota State and Minnesota-Duluth are all in action this weekend.

The Minnesota Golden Gophers men's hockey team will spend its weekend in Alaska to play a pair of games against Alaska-Anchorage.

The Gophers will play Alaska-Anchorage on both Friday and Saturday night before travelling back to Minnesota on Sunday. Minnesota enters the weekend's action with a 5-2 overall record and a 2-2 record in the WCHA. Alaska-Anchorage is 2-2-2 overall and 0-1-1 in conference action.

Minnesota State is also in action this weekend. The Mavericks will host Denver on Friday and Saturday nights. The Mavericks are 3-3-2 overall and 1-3 in conference play. Denver travels to Minnesota with the best record in the conference. Denver is 5-1 overall and 3-1 in the conference.

The Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs will be on the road this weekend. The Bulldogs will travel to play Nebraska-Omaha on Saturday night and Sunday afternoon. The Bulldogs enter play this weekend with a 2-3-1 overall record. Their conference record is 0-1-1, which is at the bottom of the WCHA.
