Michael Beasley is hosting a charity game that will feature Minnesota Timberwolves teammates Kevin Love and Derrick Williams. The exhibition match-up will take place Friday night in Osseo.
Michael Beasley is hosting a charity game in Osseo, Minn., this weekend. Unfortunately the rosters for the Friday night exhibition game no longer features as many of his Minnesota Timberwolves teammates as it did when the event was originally planned.
The website for the game no longer lists Martell Webster or Wayne Ellington as attendees for the event and former Minnesota point guard Sebastian Telfair has also been removed from the list of those expected to play for charity. There are still 19 partcipants listed, however, including Kevin Love, Derrick Williams, Wesley Johnson, John Wall, Kevin Durant and DeMarcus Cousins.
As mentioned in SB Nation Minnesota's original post on the game, the $60 ticket for entry will go to a good cause:
Tickets for the game start at $60 and can be purchased beginning at noon on Friday, Oct. 21, according to the game's website. Take into account that proceeds from the game will benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the Greater Minneapolis Crisis Nursery, MAD Dads of Minneapolis and Minneapolis Urban League charities, however, and it makes the price of admission more worth it -- and the roster doesn't hurt that part, either.
Is anyone reading this planning to attend?
Michael Beasley is doing his part in bringing professional basketball to Minnesota this weekend, despite the ongoing NBA lockout. In fact, the Minnesota Timberwolves forward has plans to host "Michael Beasley's All-Star Classic" in Osseo on Friday night.

Kevin Love, John Wall And Kevin Durant Pull Out Of Michael Beasley's Charity Game
Michael Beasley had great intentions when the the Minnesota Timberwolves forward announced intentions to hold the Michael Beasley All-Star Classic in Osseo, Minn., on Friday night. Unfortunately things aren't exactly working out well for him as Kevin Love, John Wall and Kevin Durant have all had to bow out of the charity game.
The game was originally set to feature the four aforementioned players along with DeMarcus Cousins and Timberwolves teammates Derrick Williams and Wesley Johnson. With Love, Durant and Wall now out, however, the Star Tribune's Jerry Zgoda reports a few changes have been made.
All in all, it's for charity and therefore a worthy cause regardless of who is going to play what amounts to being a meaningless game of basketball regardless.
