Most NBA mock drafts have prognosticated the Minnesota Timberwolves will select Derrick Williams at next month's NBA Draft.
The Wolves haven't given any sort of indication that the Arizona Wildcats forward is their pick (if they don't trade it), but the front office -- sans head coach Kurt Rambis -- did have a short and sweet meeting with Williams on Wednesday evening at the NBA Draft Combine.
"It's like the first date and you haven't even ordered yet," David Kahn told the Arizona Daily Star. "We were only allowed 25 minutes but he seems like a very bright, personable, thoughtful kid."
Kahn, Minnesota's president of basketball operations, also told the Daily Star reporter that he scouted Williams in person during the quarterfinals of the Pac-10 Tournament and that his staff watched him thoroughly last season.
Nothing groundbreaking in this little report, but it a start as Wolves fans prepare for whatever is going to happen on June 23.
