Most NBA mock drafts have prognosticated the Minnesota Timberwolves will select Derrick Williams at next month's NBA Draft.
↵The Wolves haven't given any sort of indication that the Arizona Wildcats forward is their pick (if they don't trade it), but the front office -- sans head coach Kurt Rambis -- did have a short and sweet meeting with Williams on Wednesday evening at the NBA Draft Combine.
↵"It's like the first date and you haven't even ordered yet," David Kahn told the Arizona Daily Star. "We were only allowed 25 minutes but he seems like a very bright, personable, thoughtful kid."
↵Kahn, Minnesota's president of basketball operations, also told the Daily Star reporter that he scouted Williams in person during the quarterfinals of the Pac-10 Tournament and that his staff watched him thoroughly last season.
↵Nothing groundbreaking in this little report, but it a start as Wolves fans prepare for whatever is going to happen on June 23.
