Timberwolves Vs. Bulls Final Score: Minnesota Hangs In There, But Falls 111-100

The Minnesota Timberwolves (3-7) mounted a furious comeback to end the first half and came all the way back in the third quarter to tie it at 70-70. But when the Chicago Bulls (8-2) recaptured the lead, they wouldn't give it up again, ultimately winning by 11, 111-100.

Minnesota trailed by as many as 24 and was down 48-25 with just a little over six minutes remaining in the first half before they went into the break on a 22-5 run behind Ricky Rubio's seven first half assists.

The T-Wolves went back and forth with the Bulls to start the third, before going on an 8-0 run to tie the game at 70-70 to the sweet sounds of a rocking arena. Unfortunately, they couldn't keep the momentum as the Bulls re-took the lead and coasted from there.

Derrick Rose had a double-double for the Bulls with 31 points and 11 assists. Luol Deng also had a double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds.

The Timberwolves were led by Luke Ridnour's 22 points and Kevin Love's 20 points and 13 rebounds. Rubio finished with a double-double of his own with 13 points and 12 assists.

Minnesota shoots for its fourth win on Friday against New Orleans.

Timberwolves Vs. Bulls Score Update: Late Run Has Minnesota Down Just 6 At Half

The Chicago Bulls led the Minnesota Timberwolves 48-25 midway through the second quarter before something triggered the T-Wolves back into it. The T-Wolves would finish the first half on a 22-5 run and pull within six at the break despite shooting just 35-percent.

A big reason the T-Wolves were down so many early was because of the poor shooting and their best player Kevin Love missed his first five shots. He wound up finishing the half with 13 points and eight rebounds. Ricky Rubio had seven assists and Anthony Randolph contributed 10 points.

The Bulls jumped out to a huge lead behind their MVP Derrick Rose. Rose was 7-for-10 shooting in the first half and had four assists and no turnovers.

Michael Beasley is not playing again for Minnesota with a right foot sprain. Richard Hamilton is out for the Bulls with a sore groin.
