The Minnesota Timberwolves (3-7) mounted a furious comeback to end the first half and came all the way back in the third quarter to tie it at 70-70. But when the Chicago Bulls (8-2) recaptured the lead, they wouldn't give it up again, ultimately winning by 11, 111-100.
Minnesota trailed by as many as 24 and was down 48-25 with just a little over six minutes remaining in the first half before they went into the break on a 22-5 run behind Ricky Rubio's seven first half assists.
The T-Wolves went back and forth with the Bulls to start the third, before going on an 8-0 run to tie the game at 70-70 to the sweet sounds of a rocking arena. Unfortunately, they couldn't keep the momentum as the Bulls re-took the lead and coasted from there.
The Timberwolves were led by Luke Ridnour's 22 points and Kevin Love's 20 points and 13 rebounds. Rubio finished with a double-double of his own with 13 points and 12 assists.
Minnesota shoots for its fourth win on Friday against New Orleans.
