2012 NBA All-Star Game: Ricky Rubio, Kevin Love Continue To Receive Votes

The MInnesota Timberwolves haven't quite made it to .500 on the season with a 6-8 record, but they've been surprising teams this year and are staying competitive in games that they should be. They're pegged as a team that could still surprise this season, and they've got two great players to think for that in Kevin Love and Ricky Rubio. Both of them have been receiving votes for the 2012 NBA All-Star Game, but neither are in the top two at their position and still have a way to go.

Still, Rubio has received 248,423 votes as of the latest update from the NBA. That's good for third among guards in the Western Conference, but he trails the top two vote-getters by a wide margin. Kobe Bryant has 973,152 votes while Chris Paul has 835,026 of his own. Then there's the big drop-off to Rubio.

Love remains fifth in the voting for forwards with 232,656 votes, trailing Pau Gasol, Dirk Nowitzki, Blake Griffin and Kevin Durant. They are the only two Timberwolves players to appear on the NBA's list as of Thursday.
