The Minnesota Timberwolves dropped an unfortunate game against the Los Angeles Lakers at home during the weekend, giving the Lakers a rare road win in what has been a rather lame season away from Staples Center for them. It's last Monday's loss to the Houston Rockets that the Timberwolves will be paying more attention to though, as the Wolves face the Rockets twice in the upcoming week.
Monday brings the first game against the Rockets, on the road. The Rockets are currently 12-8 and look to be a playoff team after two straight years of missing the big show. They also have a win against the Timberwolves to remember earlier in the month, when the Rockets stormed into Target Center and won 107-92.
The Indiana Pacers come into town on Wednesday for a tough matchup between two teams on the rise. The Pacers are coming off a huge win over the Central leading Chicago Bulls and another big win over the Orlando Magic, both winning teams. Though people had questioned the Pacers 13-6 record due to a fairly weak schedule, they're starting to prove that they are one of the teams to beat in the NBA right now.
The weekend brings a back to back for the Wolves on Friday on Saturday, against the New Jersey Nets to start and with their second Houston game immediately after. The Wolves are 9-11 right now, and they want to start looking a little more fierce.
