The Minnesota Timberwolves will try to avoid its third straight loss against the Washington Wizards on Sunday afternoon. The Timberwolves have lost their last two to the Memphis Grizzlies and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Wizards have defeated the T-Wolves in seven straight tries at home in this series, but have lost their first seven games and will be looking for their first win this season. It is their worst-ever start and they are the NBA's only team without at least two wins this year.

The T-Wolves will rely heavily on fourth-year forward Kevin Love who is averaging 26.1 points and 14.9 rebounds per game with a league-high seven double-doubles. Rookie Ricky Rubio is scoring over nine points per game with a team-high 6.7 assists.

Michael Beasley is expected to be out with an ankle injury he suffered in Friday's game.
