Kings Vs. Timberwolves Final Score: Minnesota Finds A Way To Win Without Kevin Love, 86-84

Stay connected for news and updates

The Minnesota Timberwolves entered Tuesday night's game against the Sacramento Kings without their best player, Kevin Love. Love began serving a two-game suspension on Tuesday for stomping on Luis Scola, so the Timberwolves would need to look for a way to win without their rebound machine on the court. T-Wolves center Nikola Pekovic stepped up to fill that role, leading Minnesota in scoring with 23 points and picking up 10 rebounds.

Sacramento fell behind early after they were outscored in the first quarter 31-16, but were able to battle back in the second half thanks in part to Marcus Thornton who ended the night with 22 points and 4 rebounds. Forward Demarcus Cousins picked up a double-double in the loss scoring 10 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. The late surge for the Kings just wasn't enough though, and the Timberwolves were able to hold on for the victory.
