The Minnesota Timberwolves beat the Trailblazers back on Saturday evening. They'll have another chance to do so on Wednesday night.
The fact that the Timberwolves haven't been able to beat the Portland Trail Blazers in Minnesota since 2007 -- a streak of eight straight wins for Portland -- is a surprising streak. The fact that the Timberwolves haven't been able to win five straight games at home in a row in about the same length of time is even more surprising.
The Wolves can end both streaks, however, when they welcome the Blazers into Target Center on Wednesday evening at 7 p.m.
Minnesota had the advantage when they took on the Blazers in Portland and won back on Saturday evening, with Kevin Love's 42 points leading the way.
Portland will probably put an extra man on Love Wednesday, but will still have Ricky Rubio to deal with and a home crowd for Minnesota that have been aching for the team to get in form all year long and will be raucously hoping for another win at home.
