The Minnesota Timberwolves haven't beat the Lakers since 2007 and haven't won six games at home since 2004. They can snap both of those streaks Friday as Los Angeles heads to Minnesota.
To say it's been a while since the Minnesota Timberwolves have beat the Los Angeles Lakers would be a bit of an understatement. The Wolves haven't recorded a W against LA since March of 2007 -- and even then, that win by Minnesota required double overtime -- but Friday's game at Target Center might be their best chance in a long time.
Los Angeles has been exceptionally terrible away from Staples Center so far this season, posting a 6-14 record. They come to Minnesota facing a confident and hot Wolves team who have won five straight and are going for their first six game winning streak at home in quite a while, since April of 2004 to be specific.
Unlike the last time these teams played, immediately after the All Star break ended, Kevin Love will be in the Minnesota line up. He'll face off against the league's leading scorer Kobe Bryant in what is certain to be a superstar shootout. Last time they met, Kobe exploded for 31 points as the Lakers won, 104-85.
The game will be at Target Center at 8 P.M. Eastern time.
