Kevin Love caught an elbow from JaVale McGee in the first quarter of Wednesday night's game between the Minnesota Timberwolves and Denver Nuggets. The All-Star power forward was helped off the court and is expected to miss the remainder of the game due to the injury.
The Minnesota Timberwolves could be eliminated from NBA playoff contention with a loss on Wednesday night to the Denver Nuggets. The outcome is still in question, but it won't be easy for the Wolves the remainder of the game as Kevin Love has suffered an injury that looks like it will keep him on the bench the rest of the night.
Midway through the first quarter of Wednesday night's game, Love took an elbow from Nuggets center JaVale McGee on the defensive end. Love laid flat on his back for quite awhile after being hit in the temple with the inadvertent elbow before being helped to the locker room.
The injury added, well, injury to insult as Love began the game by missing all five of his shot attempts -- two of which were blocked -- while grabbing three rebounds ... two of which were offensive boards stemming from his own misses.
