Timberwolves Vs. Pistons Final Score: Minnesota Snaps 11-Game Losing Streak, 91-80

The Minnesota Timberwolves traveled into Detroit on a day's rest to take on the Pistons Thursday night, who were playing their third game in as many days less than 24 hours after getting drubbed in Atlanta by 32 points. Losers of 11 straight, the Timberwolves caught the right team at the right time and snapped their skid 91-80.

Jose Barea recorded a double-double with 13 points and 12 assists. Nikola Pekovic scored a game-high 23 and grabbed nine rebounds. Three other Timberwolves were in double figures in the relatively easy win.

The Pistons battled back in the fourth quarter after falling behind 23 with less than eight minutes remaining, but Minnesota had time on their side and knocked down six of their eight free throws to seal the game and pick up their first win in the month of April.

Minnesota does not play again until Sunday when they host the Golden State Warriors.

Timberwolves Vs. Pistons Score Update: Minnesota Up 18 At Half, 49-31

The bad news for the Minnesota Timberwolves is that they have lost 11 straight games. The good news is they have a very good opportunity to end that putrid streak on Thursday night in Detroit when they take on the pitiful Pistons, who are on their last leg of a back-to-back-to-back after getting demoralized Wednesday night in Atlanta. At the half, the Timberwolves are well on their way, leading by 18, 49-31.

The Pistons have looked as flat as they did in Wednesday night's 32-point loss. The Timberwolves have forced eight turnovers and have held the Pistons to under 30-percent shooting for the majority of the half while shooting well over 50-percent themselves.

Jose Barea is leading the way, on pace for a triple-double with 11 points, eight assists, and five rebounds.
