After breaking an 11 game winning streak in their last game the Minnesota Timberwolves returned to their losing ways on Sunday night. The Golden State Warriors came tot he Target Center and earned a 93-88 victory over Minnesota, giving Minnesota 12 losses in its last 13 games.
Five players for Golden State reached double figures led by Charles Jenkins with 24 points. Brandon Rush had 19 while Klay Thompson had 17. The Timberwolves were also balanced int heir own scoring and even led by 15 after one quarter and 16 at the half, but managed just 33 second half points after scoring 32 in the first quarter alone.
Nikola Pekovic had 19 points and 16 rebounds while J.J. Berea had 14 points and 12 assists.

After being decimated by injuries for much of the season, the Minnesota Timberwolves sit rather uncomfortably in 12th place in the Western Conference with the 2011-12 campaign on the verge of wrapping up.
The T-Wolves have gone just 1-9 over their last ten games, and could conceivably finish in a tie for 11th place in the conference by winning their final two contests. If so, Minnesota would pull into a tie with the Portland Trailblazers, who have also been on a significant slide to finish the year and sit at 28-36.
Despite a core group of promising young players, the T-Wolves did not take the next step that many pundits predicted for them in 2012, and will look to add a key component in the NBA Draft to build from next season. With star forward Kevin Love locked up until 2015 and point guard Ricky Rubio looking like the real deal, Minnesota has more than enough talent going forward to be a playoff-caliber team if it can ever manage to stay healthy.
