The Minnesota Timberwolves look to avoid a season sweep at the hands of the playoff bound Denver Nuggets.
The Minnesota Timberwolves (26-39) conclude their season at the Target Center Thursday night at 8 ET against the red-hot Denver Nuggets (37-28).
This game features two teams that have finished the regular season going in opposite directions, as the Nuggets have won three consecutive games and seven of their last 10, while the Timberwolves have dropped nine of their past 10 games.
Denver is still playing for playoff positioning, where they currently sit in the sixth spot in the Western Conference, but could drop to the seventh seed if they lose to Minnesota and Dallas beats Atlanta. Nuggets coach George Karl said his regulars will play, but nobody will play taxing minutes.
