Timberwolves Vs. Hornets Score Update: Minnesota Trails 46-41 At Half

The Minnesota Timberwolves are in real danger of losing to the worst team in the Western Conference on Saturday, and are behind 46-41 to the New Orleans Hornets after two quarters.

Minnesota's starting backcourt of J.J. Barea and Martell Webster have each combined to shoot just 2-for-10 from the field, on a night where the Timberwolves are hitting just 22.2% from behind the arc. Sixth man Michael Beasley has been the lone boost off the bench with eight points and three rebounds, but has turned the ball over a team-high two times.

The combination of New Orleans big men Chris Kaman (10 points, 3 blocks) and Jason Smith (16 points, 6 rebounds) has proved to be too much for Kevin Love and company to handle on the inside. Because of this, the Hornets hold a 24-15 rebounding advantage, and have also been more effective on the offensive glass.
