The Minnesota Timberwolves will face the Phoenix Suns on Monday at Target Center.
The sun is starting to set on any playoff hopes that the Minnesota Timberwolves were harboring as they continue to drop game after game with their injured squad. The Phoenix Suns have had a far better go of things lately, once in the basement but with a 17-8 record since February 18 which has launched them right into the thick of the race for the final couple of slots in the West.
Kevin Love seems to be the only Wolves player that has been playing decent basketball in recent weeks but he will have his hands full against a team that has a surprising number of guys stepping up during their recent win streak. Ex-Laker Shannon Brown has been a boost to the team along with the usual guys like Steve Nash. Michael Redd off the bench stepped up in a recent drubbing of the Lakers.
Minnesota are just looking to finish the season stronger than they did last year, when they dropped 15 straight games. They're currently mired in a five game skid.
The game will be at Target Center at 8:00 p.m. ET.
