The Minnesota Timberwolves dropped their sixth straight game on Monday night to the Phoenix Suns by 24 points on national television, 114-90. It's the longest losing streak of the season for the Timberwolves.
Injuries have decimated the Timberwolves this season and playing shorthanded against a hot Phoenix Suns didn't do them any favors Monday night. The Suns, who have now won five of their last six, never trailed after tying the game at 4-4 and put the game away for good when they increased their 15-point lead they had going into the fourth quarter to 27 by the 5:22 mark.
Markieff Morris led the Suns with 21 points. Kevin Love led the Timberwolves with 25 points and 13 rebounds.
Minnesota hope to end their losing ways in Denver on Wednesday.

Luke Ridnour will already miss tonight's game against the Phoenix Suns due to an ankle injury he suffered in the third quarter of last Monday's loss against the Sacramento Kings, but the guard may also miss the Timberwolves' upcoming trip to Denver:
Indeed, Adelman said he doesn't anticipate taking Ridnour to Denver tomorrow for Wednesday's game.
"I just can't see him playing until, maybe Saturday (against Oklahoma City)," Adelman said. "That's maybe wishful thinking, too."
The Timberwolves' PR tweeted that Adelman would make a decision after the game on Monday. Injuries have plagued the Timberwolves' guards all year, but Adelman said before the game that he's instilling a 'no excuses' attitude and expects better effort out of the Timberwolves on defense.
