The Minnesota Twins have had a bit of an enigma of a pitching staff this season. Injuries have plagued it a bit, most recently with Scott Baker being forced into Tommy John surgery which will end his season as well as an injury to Nick Blackburn.
Glen Perkins was another on the injury bandwagon but fortunately for the Twins he looks like he'll be ready to pitch again soon. After an MRI was conducted on his sore forearm, no significant damage was discovered and he was able to rest off the inflammation and tenderness problems he was having. As reported by ESPN, he could be back with the team as soon as Wednesday and be ready to pitch again as soon as Friday.
At this point, any good news is great news for the depleted pitching staff as the Twins struggle through the opening stages of the 2012 season.
