The Minnesota Twins will kick off a short two game series against the Cleveland Indians at home on Monday.
Carl Pavano was forced to have an MRI and it didn't show any major concerns, but there are still plenty of concerns about the righty's play this season. Pavano is 2-3 with a 5.02 ERA so far this year, not even close to the numbers that the Twins were hoping for from him when the season started. Even worse, his fastball velocity has sunk to the mid 80's, the reason that the MRI was performed in the first place.
The 10-24 Twins will need as much as he can provide as they start a two game series against the AL Central leading Cleveland Indians on Monday.
Fortunately for the Twins, they're catching the Indians on a downslide, as Cleveland dropped three in a row to finish off their last series against Boston. They're also catching one of the less impressive arms in the Indians rotation, 2-2 Jeanmar Gomez.
The game will be at Target Field at 8:10 p.m. ET.
