Twins Vs. Tigers Final Score: Minnesota Benefits From 14 Hits, 4 Detroit Errors In 11-7 Win

The Minnesota Twins entered Wednesday night's game as the most hapless team in baseball, with a struggling pitching staff, to say the least, and an offense that touts the fewest hits in the American League. Thanks to a little ineptitude from the Tigers and 14 hits, the Twins won their 11th game of the season, 11-7.

The Twins scored four runs off three early errors by the Tigers, but Nick Blackburn let the Tigers back into it by allowing five runs in the bottom of the second inning.

But after chasing Rick Porcello, who needed 100 pitches to get through four innings, the Twins took advantage of the Tigers' sorry bullpen. Jamey Carroll doubled in a pair of runs off Duane Below, Alexi Casilla singled in another run in the seventh and Trevor Plouffe put the game all but out of reach with a two-run dinger off Collin Balester in the ninth.

The Twins' offense did all of that while the Twins bullpen tossed seven innings of one-run ball between Jeff Gray, Alex Burnett, Brian Duensing, Jared Burton and Glen Perkins.

The quick two-game series concludes tomorrow, with first pitch slated for 1:05 p.m. ET.
