The Minnesota Twins will face off against the Cleveland Indians in a weekend series starting Friday.
The Minnesota Twins are on the outside looking in when it comes to the race for the top spot in the AL Central, so the best that they can do right now is act as spoilers. Starting on Friday they'll host the third place Cleveland Indians, who are on a high after winning their last series against the Detroit Tigers and are looking to gain even more ground.
One of the most solid contributors on the staff this season, will be taking the mound for Minnesota as Scott Diamond (8-4, 3.16 ERA) starts the first game at Target Field. He'll face off against Josh Tomlin (5-7, 5.34 ERA), who has been inconsistent all season for the Indians.
Minnesota has only won a single series in their last six at home, one of the many slumps that has led them to the worst record in the American League.
The game will be at Target Field at 8:10 p.m.
